Pink Floyd co-founder Nick Mason is touring a complete set of early Pink Floyd songs covering 1967 to 1972 and the albums pre-The Dark Side Of The Moon.

1973’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ was Pink Floyd’s eighth album. The seven albums prior to that making up Mason’s set are:

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967)
A Saucerful of Secrets (1968)
More (1969)
Ummagumma (1969)
Atom Heart Mother (1970)
Meddle (1971)
Obscured by Clouds (1972)

Nick Mason is the only member of Pink Floyd to have played on every Pink Floyd album. David Gilmour joined for the second album ‘A Saucerful of Secrets’ replacing original member Sid Barrett who departed during the second album sessions. (Both appear on the album). Roger Waters left in 1985. He played on every album up until 1983’s ‘The Final Cut’. Richard Wright left after the release of ‘The Wall’ (1979), missed ‘The Final Cut’ and returned as a session player on ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’ (1987) before rejoining Pink Floyd for the final album ‘The Division Bell’ (1994).

Nick Mason is touring Europe as Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets. There are currently no plans to bring the show to Australia.

The show features some rare live performances. Pink Floyd last played ‘Vegetables’ in 1967. The song only surfaced in studio form on the 2016 compilation ‘Cre/ation: The Early Years 1967-1972’. ‘If’ was last performed live by Roger Waters in 1987.
