Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich lines up the guests for the next season of the live music show From The Basement.
Consequence Of Sound reports that the show is returning next month and it will feature live performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Shins, Feist and Foster the People.
It will also be broadcast in 3D, with Godrich telling EW, “I was quite cynical about it when it was suggested to me. I’m very careful about anything that seems like a gimmick, but the technology is so good and it looks so amazing. When you see a photograph of an Impressionist painting, it doesn’t really make sense until you go to France and stand in the museum and watch this thing vibrate in front of your face. It really is another level of intimacy, and it really translates in a really sophisticated way.”
The first two seasons featured performances from Thom Yorke of Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Beck, The White Stripes, Albert Hammond Jr from The Strokes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Iggy Pop, Cold War Kids, and even Aussies Architecture In Helsinki and Operator Please.
