Nile Rodgers will be performing the INXS classic ‘Original Sin’ during Chic’s Playground Weekender set in Australia next weekend.
Rodgers produced the INXS song in New York in 1984. It featured Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates on backing vocals. The song featured on the INXS album ‘The Swing’ and reached number one on the Australia chart.
As a producer, Rodgers create ‘Like A Virgin’ and ‘Material Girl’ for Madonna, ‘Let’s Dance’ and ‘China Girl’ for David Bowie, ‘The Reflex’ and ‘The Wild Boys’ for Duran Duran as well as albums by Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck and Thompson Twins.
As Chic, Rodgers had his own hits with ‘Le Freak’, ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’ and ‘Good Times’.
Chic will headline Playground Weekend at Wisemans Ferry, NSW.
