There is more to Nile Rodgers than Chic and Daft Punk.
The R&B genius was behind hits for Diana Ross, Sister Sledge, Debbie Harry and Sheila E and those hits have been compiled for a double disc set though Warner Music.
‘Nile Rodgers Presents The Chic Organization – Up All Night’ highlights the 40-year career of Nile Rodgers with songs like ‘Le Freak’, ‘Good Times’, ‘Upside Down’, ‘Backfired’ and ‘We Are Family’.
Rodgers is being heard for the first time by a lot of music fans via the Daft Punk album ‘Random Access Memories’. The tracks ‘Give Life Back To Music’, ‘Lose To Dance Yourself’ and the hit song ‘Get Lucky’ are the sound of Nile Rogers.
The ‘Up All Night’ compilation is a Daft Punk fan’s musical link with the past.
The album will be released on August 2.
