There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about the 20th anniversary edition of Nirvana’s swansong, In Utero, but most didn’t see the amazing list of tracks coming that were announced on Tuesday.
In Utero was the third and final studio album for Nirvana, marking a large change from the slick production on their previous Nevermind. Although the record label was not happy with the sound, it was released in September 1993 and immediately went to number 1.
The 20th Anniversary Edition, which will be out September 23, contains 70 remastered and rare recordings over a variety of formats up to the deluxe 3-CDs/1-DVD set. Along with the original album, demos and other rarities, the set includes the complete Live and Loud show from Pier 48 in Seattle that was recorded on December 13, 1993.
