Manilow on Broadway will not be opening tonight as scheduled as Barry is down with a chest infection.
The singer cancelled his final preview performance on Wednesday but had high hopes of being well for the opening. Also out are Friday and Saturday night’s performances, pushing the show back to a Tuesday opening.
The producers issued a statement saying “It turns out the only thing worse than hell and high water is bronchitis. Barry is deeply sorry to disappoint his fans and is doing everything he can to ensure a speedy recovery.”
The performances have been rescheduled for February 28, March 1 and March 2.
