American television has gone Jimmy Barnes mad. The new American television season has two characters called Jimmy Barnes in two totally different shows.
Last week, evil music producer Jimmy Barnes surfaced in the upcoming Fox series ‘Lucifer’. Now another show titled ‘Significant Mother’ has debuted with yet another Jimmy Barnes.
The ‘Significant Mother’ Jimmy Barnes is played by Nathaniel Buzolic who is actually an Australian actor. Nathaniel had an uncredited role in the 2005 movie ‘Dirty Deeds’ and had earlier appeared in an episode of ‘Water Rats’.
After moving to the USA he scored the role of Kol Mikaelson in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and reprised the role for the sequel ‘The Originals’. He has also appeared in ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Bones’ before scoring his starring role as Jimothy ‘Jimmy’ Barnes in the comedy ‘Significant Mother’.
The plot of ‘Significant Mother’ is about a guy (Jimmy) who sleeps with his best friends mother and starts a relationship. The series guest stars Jonathan Silverman as the ex-husband of the friend’s mother. Silverman starred in the ‘Weekend At Bernies’ movies.
Last week, Fox’s new series ‘Lucifer’ surfaced with also with a character named Jimmy Barnes played by John Pankow, the brother of Chicago band member James Pankow. John Pankow previously starred in ‘Married With Children’ and ‘Episodes’.
Meanwhile the real Jimmy Barnes has released his ‘Best of the Soul Years’ this week with a brand new recording of ‘In The Midnight Hour’.
