Oasis may be planning a reunion.
After so much bad blood over the years, it is hard to believe but the Mirror in the U.K. is reporting that the brothers Gallagher, Noel and Liam, have put their problems behind them and plan to reform Oasis.
As with most rumors in the music world, the paper talked with a “well placed source” who said that they had spoken with Noel at the Teenage Cancer Trust in London. The source said “It’s early days in terms of the details, but Noel and Liam are back on good terms and ready to give things another go. Nothing is signed but it’s what you might call a gentlemen’s agreement between them. Ultimately they’re family and whatever has gone on before can be sorted out – they’re very close beneath all the bluster.”
The question is whether both brothers have an equal interest in the band. Liam Gallagher’s band, High Flying Birds, is a big success in the U.K. while Noel’s Beady Eye had a decent career but has now broken up. The sources said that “[Liam] is ready to try and put their differences behind them in order to get back on stage together with the band now that Beady Eye have split up. Obviously it would be massively lucrative for them both too, and the demand for tickets would be enormous.”
