Melbourne’s Oh Mercy have been announced as special guests of the very first Australian tour for The Waterboys for the Melbourne and Sydney shows.

Oh Mercy released the third album ‘Deep Heat’ this year. Alexander Gow dropped into Noise11 to showcase some songs. Watch that performance below.
Mike Scott has never toured The Waterboys in Australia before. The Scottish band has been around for three decades and had a massive hit in Australia with ‘The Whole of the Moon’.
They also recently revisited Spiddal in Ireland.
The tour will feature a Waterboys retrospective plus songs from the new album ‘An Appointment With Mr Yeats’. Sarah Calderwood will also join them at the Sydney show. Mike Scott appeared on her debut album.
