Anthony Callea is about to release his first record since 2007. ‘Oh Oh Oh Oh’ marks the recording return of Anthony Callea and this time it’s different.
Callea has teamed up with Black Eyed Peas collaborator DJ Poet (Jamie Munson) to write the song which is an “in the moment” sound for Anthony. The dance floor track features electronic drums beats and synth, a far cry from his 2004 number one hit ‘The Prayer’.
“I went to Poet’s studio in LA,” Anthony says in a statement. “He is seriously loopy and I say that in a good way. For him, it’s all about the music. I loved working with him. I could feed off his energy.”
Poet brought a new sound to Callea because he wasn’t aware of his past. “It’s been really interesting working with people overseas who had no idea who I was or where I come from,” he says.
You can sample the song at the official Anthony Callea web site.
DJ Poet and Khaled produced the track, Miles Walker mixed it and it mastered by Tom Coyne at Sterling Sound in New York.
Anthony has a few live dates planned:
October 2, Sydney, Homesexual: White, Home Nightclub, Darling Harbour
November 5, Melbourne, CO Nightclub, Crown Entertainment Complex
