Olivia Newton-John returned to the stage on Thursday night (August 24) in Evansville, IN, her first since April 14 when she revealed that her breast cancer had returned.
Newton-John first battled the disease in 1992 and had been cancer free for 25 years before her latest diagnosis which included the news that the disease had also metastasized to her lower back. So far, there is no word on whether the cancer has been beaten again or not.
Olivia wrote on her Facebook earlier today (August 28):
After postponing my shows since May because of my breast cancer recurrence, singing in concert for the last 4 nights was very special to me. I feel great! I have been on a healing journey of many different kinds of therapies for which I am very grateful and I look forward to sharing them with the world at a later date. Thank you to the wonderful audiences who came to my concerts and showed their love – I appreciate you so much. Love and light, Olivia
Newton-John currently has thirteen more dates on her schedule through early December.
