One Direction has sold over 12 million albums, singles and DVDs in the past 12 months.

Since the release of the first record One Direction has now clocked up 8 million single sales, 3 million albums and 1 million DVDs. The ‘Up All Night’ album is the top selling debut album of 2012 in the USA.
Liam Payne from One Direction says, “We are obviously ecstatic and incredibly humbled by our award today. We have an incredible team of people around us who have helped us achieve this and above all we would like to thank our fans. We owe all our success to them.”
One Direction has also accumulated 480 million YouTube views, 31 million Twitter followers and 8.4 million Facebook likes.
One Direction performed in Australia in April 2012.
Their most viewed video is ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ with 199 million views.
