One Electric Day is heading to Adelaide in December and John Farnham will headline.
Adelaide’s One Electric Day will be heavy if hits with Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Sorrows, Russell Morris, Ross Wilson and Swanee spending the day with Farnham at Elder Park on the River Torrens.
The artists chosen for One Electric Day all have a catalogue of classic hits and the event delivers dozens of Australian classics in one afternoon.
Adelaide is generally overlooked by Australian concert promoters who avoid placing acts in South Australia, as other states tend to return greater profits. One Electric Day founder Duane McDonald has witnessed first-hand how the South Australian audiences tend to favour quality over quantity and have always supported high standard value for money shows. “I am excited to bring One Electric Day to Adelaide for the first time, especially to such a magnificent venue as Elder Park,” Duane said.
Duane founded One Electric Day in Melbourne in 2013. This year’s event sold out in record time four months ahead of the show.
In Melbourne is its second year One Electric Day developed into the cities best family music event with eight hours of music kicking off in the early afternoon and the final act finishing up in time to get the kids home in time for dinner.
As well treating music fans to Australia’s biggest names, each with their catalogue of hits, a key feature of One Electric Day is the gourmet food and fine wines available on the day.
General public tickets go on sale 9am Monday 10th August 2015 through Ticketmaster.
One Electric Day with John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite, Ross Wilson, The Black Sorrows, Russell Morris and Swanee kicks off at 11am at Elder Park, Adelaide on Sunday, 6 December 2015.
