Orchestra Manoeuvres In The Dark Debut New Song The Punishment of Luxury

by Paul Cashmere on July 20, 2017

in News

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark have debuted the title track from their upcoming album ‘The Punishment of Luxury’.

‘The Punishment of Luxury’ is the 13th album for OMD and first since ‘English Electric’ in 2013. After that last album OMD considered discontinuing. By mid 2015, the stresses of the long previous tour has subsided and Paul Humphreys and Andy McClusky were ready for more new music.

Written, recorded, produced and mixed by OMD – Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys – the album is the sound of a band in their prime. ‘On this album we have managed to make beautiful things out of noises and repetitive patterns’, explains Andy. ‘The trouble is, we just cant help but write a catchy melody!’

‘The Punishment of Luxury’ will be released on September 1, 2017.

Toto Returns To Melbourne #Review

Toto’s 2025 setlist focuses on the heritage of the band. The setlist was interesting. Compared to how it was curated for Australia in 2019 this time Toto kept to the albums of the 1900s. Mind you, there were no complaints from the audience for doing that. The biggest hits came from those early years.
