Billboard has reported that Andre “Andre 3000” Benjamin and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton are in talks to reunite as Outkast for 2014 Coachella festival.
While the duo have never officially broken up, they have not played together since 2007 and their album Idlewild. Big Boi took three years to produce the album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty while Andre 3000 guested on a variety of projects and continued his acting career in such films as Semi-Pro and the upcoming Jimi Hendrix biopic All is By My Side.
Multiple sources told the magazine that the duo is definitely in talks with the Coachella organizers to appear and kick off a run of reunion shows that would continue through the festival season.
The group, which is now on Epic Records, had their first number 1 Rap single with the 1993 release Player’s Ball and topped the Singles chart in 2000 with Ms. Jackson and in 2003 with Hey Ya! and The Way You Move.
