Black Sabbath cancel a German show just as they were about to go on, due to concerns over Ozzy’s voice.
TMZ reports that yesterday’s cancellation of Black Sabbath’s performance, after the show had begun and the support Black Label Society had already played, was due to issues with Ozzy’s voice.
The band were booked to play the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany on June 20. The concert started, with former Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society performing.
But when it was time for Black Sabbath to take the stage, the audience were informed that Ozzy was unable to perform “due to a medical condition”.
TMZ reports that Ozzy’s representative told them his “overall health is OK … and he merely decided to cancel the show due to issues with his voice.”
Fans were advised to wait for the venue to confirm whether they can get a refund or whether Black Sabbath will reschedule the show.
The band’s website and Facebook are yet to comment on the cancellation.
