The latest single for Papa Vs Pretty, ‘To Do’, tackles the current Great Barrier Reef dredging issue.
Taken from Papa Vs Pretty’s forthcoming album ‘White Deer Park’, the video for ‘To Do’ features video collected and edited from actual Great Barrier Reef footage.
We’re not usually a political band, but we do think it’s hugely important that everyone thinks about and engages with the issues that are important. We’ve got a song on our new record called “To Do” which is about exactly that, and we thought it was especially relevant to the decision that’s being made on the dredging of the Great Barrier Reef on Friday the 31st, so we made a video for it with some footage we borrowed from a group of biologists in Cairns who run a company called Adventure for Change. If you care about the issue, feel free to send the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority a message/sign a petition via the links in the video description. Hope you enjoy! said bassist Gus Gardiner.
You can sign the petition here or send a full message detailing your concerns here.
It would truly be a shame to lose one of the most important natural wonders in the world. If you are unfamiliar with the issue, go to http://bit.ly/LYWK58 for further information on the dredging.
In the meantime take a look at the video below and keep an eye out for Papa Vs Pretty’s new album ‘White Deer Park’, released on February 21.
