The concert took place at The Beacon Theatre in New York on November 12, 2010.

Patti Smith performed ‘Oh Yoko’ with Tony Shanahan while Jackson Browne sang ‘You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away’.

Martin Sexton sang ‘Working Class Hero’. “John has always been a hero of mine, not only for his musical brilliance, but for his life-long commitment to bringing peace and light into the world,” he said.

The 31st annual show will be held on December 10, 2011 at Le Poisson Rouge with Steve Forbett, Bettye LaVette, Lucy Kaplansky, Rich Pagano, Richard Barone and first timers, Toshi Reagon and Ari Hest.
