Paul and Dan Kelly, The Bamboos with Tim Rogers, Lanie Lane, and more will perform at the 2012 Jagermeister Independent Music Awards.
Australia’s Independent Music Awards (very sponsored by Jagermeister) are back once more in 2012 and continue to celebrate the finest in our independent scene by announcing a classy line-up of performers for the night.
Living legend Paul Kelly, on the verge of releasing his 26th album and the first on his indie label, will perform a song from the forthcoming album with his nephew, and star in his own right, Dan Kelly.
Long-standing funk collective The Bamboos broke through this year with the guest-heavy Medicine Man and they’ll be joined by You Am I frontman and solo performer Tim Rogers (who is also about to release a new disc) to perform the first single from the album ‘I Got Burned’.
World-beating rockabilly darlin’ Lanie Lane will also step up to the stage to perform a tune from her killer debut To The Horses.
Beatmakers Hermitude will play ‘Speak Of The Devil’ from their latest album HyperParadise, the clip for which won the J Award for Best Australian Video.
Indie pop up-and-comers from Melbourne, Loon Lake, will deliver some ultra-catchy sounds. And finally, prog-hardcore sensation House VS Hurricane will rattle the rafters with a tune from their second album Crooked Teeth.
The 7th annual Jagermeister Independent Music Awards will take place on October 16 in Melbourne, and Noise11 will be all over it. Check out our chats with Adalita, Emma Louise, Big Scary, Stonefield, The Holidays, Joelistics, Illy and more from last year’s event below.
