Paul McCartney Reschedules Japanese Tour

Paul McCartney will return to Japan in April to make up for the shows he had had cancel due to illness in 2014.

McCartney had arrived in Japan in May last year when he contracted a virus forcing him to postpone and then eventually cancel all scheduled shows.

The virus knocked the former Beatle around so much than all American shows for June had to be rescheduled.

McCartney’s Out There tour finally started in July from Albany, New York.

“I can’t wait to get back to Japan for some more great nights of rock n’ roll and fun,” McCartney said in a statement. “We had such a great time on our trip in 2013 and we were so disappointed that we couldn’t perform last year. I want to thank my fans for all the lovely messages you sent me. Looking forward to seeing you all very soon.”

Once again despite his proximity to Australia on the tour, no Australian dates have been announced. McCartney’s last Australian tour was in 1993. His previous Australian tour was on the Wings Over The World tour with Wings in 1975.

Paul McCartney has only stepped foot in Australia once before that, it 1964 with The Beatles.

Paul McCartney’s Give My Regards To Broad Street Turns 40

Paul McCartney’s 1984 movie ‘Give My Regards To Broad Street’ was universally panned in its day. The production, 100% funded by Paul, became a money pit. It lost him millions, had hideous reviews and now both the movie and soundtrack album have been long out of print. But was it that bad? Actually no. I thought it was much better than The Beatles ‘Magical Mystery Tour’.

Paul McCartney Plays Santiago, Karen Freedman Reviews of Noise11.com

Eighty two. Paul McCartney is 82. (Well, I guess it makes a change to referring to the good Sir as an ex-Beatle). Now, where was I? Oh yes, in Santiago, Chile, at the Estadio Monumental, watching this magnificent human perform to and thrill thousands of people. It is always heartwarming to see multi generations singing along to all the songs at a Paul McCartney show. More impressively here, because most people speak only Spanish.
