Rodgers moved to Canada when he married Cynthia Kereluk, a former Miss Canada.

He says he is “proud to be a Canuck”.

“It may not be my native land but Canada is surely now my home. While I’ll always be an Englishman, Canada has given me so much for which I am grateful. My wife, your former Miss Canada Cynthia Kereluk, a new and extended family and the chance to be truly free in a country that with its quiet strength combines the best of so many worlds.

“I’m proud to be a Canuck.

“Thank you, Merci”

Paul Rodgers.

61-year old Rodgers rose to fame as lead singer of UK band Free in 1970. His next band was Bad Company. Rodgers also fronted The Law and The Firm and had a five-year gig as lead singer for Queen between 2004 and 2009.

He married the former Miss Canada Cynthia Kereluk in September 2007. The couple live in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia.
