As projected, Paul Simon debuts at number 3 this week with his latest album Stranger to Stranger. The album was the biggest selling album in the U.S. over the last week but debuts at number 3 after streaming equivalents are added.
For Simon, this is his highest charting studio album since 1986’s Graceland and his fourth album overall to make the top three. His last set, 2011’s So Beautiful or So What, peaked at 4.
Michael Franti & Spearhead premier at 38 with SoulRocker, giving them the second highest charting album of their career. 2010’s The Sound of Sunshine peaked at 17 while 2008’s All Rebel Rockers went to 39.
At 84 is the debut album from the Claypool Lennon Delerium made up of veterans Les Claypool and Sean Lennon while, at 179 is the first time on the charts for the 2010 compilation The Essential Dixie Chicks.
Last weeks big debut, Good Times! by the Monkees, drops from 14 to 77.
