Paul Simon has announced a farewell show for London in July. Simon’s Hyde Park show in July is billed ‘Homeward Bound: The Farewell Performance’.

76-year old Simon has been hinting at retirement for a number of years and has no finally used the ‘F’ word.

‘Homeward Bound: The Farewell Performance’ is scheduled for 15 July, 2018 in London’s Hyde Park. Special guest are James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt.

At this stage it is unknown if the London show will truly be his final show or the first show on a farewell world tour.

Elton John announced his farewell tour last week but he is planning 300 shows over three years.

Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel released five albums as Simon & Garfunkel between 1964 and 1970. Simon recorded ‘The Paul Simon Songbook’, a solo album in 1965 and a total of 13 solo albums up until ‘Stranger To Stranger’ in 2016. That last album reached no 3 in the USA. His biggest album was ‘Graceland’ in 1986. It has sold over 16 million copies worldwide.
