Pearl Jam played their big day out at Wrigley Field, Chicago on Friday night and used the stage to debut two more brand new songs.
The title track from the upcoming ‘Lightning Bolt’ album was played live for the very first time just after Pearl Jam played ‘Mind Your Manners’, the first single from the album.
For another new song ‘Future Days’ Eddie Vedder welcomed the bands long-time producer Brendan O’Brien on stage to join the band.
‘Lightning Bolt’, the 10th studio album for Pearl Jam, will be released in October.
Because of rain the Chicago show started late and Pearl Jam didn’t hit the stage until around 11pm. Despite that, they played an almost three hour show ending at around 2am.
Pearl Jam played their first North American show in Canada earlier this week. This Chicago show is the band’s only other show before they start their world tour in October.
