Pentagram’s Bobby Liebling Jailed For Abusing Elderly Person

Bobby Liebling, one of the co-founders of the death metal band Pentagram, has been sentenced to eighteen months in prison for “abuse/neglect of a vulnerable adult-custodian”.

Court papers state that the victim was Diane Liebling who is assumed to be Bobby’s elderly mother. The site MetalSucks managed to obtain a copy of the court documents which show that Liebling struck a plea deal to accept one of the the three charges against him.

The final sentence was handed down by Judge David A. Boynton on October 5. Liebling was actually sentenced to two to five years but all but all but 18 months were suspended and the length would be calculated including time served. Upon release, Liebling will be subject to three years of supervised probation.

Pentagram was formed in 1971 by Leibling and Geof O’Keefe and the band went through numerous lineup changes over the years. They didn’t release their self-titled debut album until 1985 and, to date, have put out eight studio albums. Leibling is the one person who has been a member through all of the lineups.
