Peter Criss says that his last performance in the U.S. will be this June in New York.
Criss will be appearing at the New York KISS Expo from June 9 to 11, including a meet and great (6/9), a performance (6/10) and a Landmark Tour (6/11). Then, on June 16, Peter will do a VIP Dinner Performance and is calling it his “Last live performance in the USA! Don’t miss it!”
This isn’t Criss’ first retirement from public view. Back in 2012, he appeared at the New Jersey KISS Expo and indicated that it would be his last time signing autographs.
The New York appearance will be his second farewell performance of the year. Peter is also appearing at the Australia KISS Convention from May 12 to 14 with another VIP Dinner Performance that is being billed as “Last live performance in Australia!”
Peter was with KISS from the group’s beginning in 1973 until 1982 and played on all albums from their self-titled debut to 1980’s Unmasked. He returned from 1996 to 2002, including the LP Psycho Circus.
As a solo artist, he has released five albums with the last being 2007’s One For All. He has been teasing a new album for a number of years but it is yet to see a release date.
