Peter Gabriel and Real World have announced that they will be releasing a special edition of Peter Gabriel’s landmark album, So.

The announcement on Gabriel’s website:

So is one of the most important albums in Peter’s career and we’re delighted to announce that in September 2012 we will be releasing the So 25.½ re-issue.

There’s a lot of work to be done at Real World to bring you this special edition so please register your interest below to be updated with all the latest news and pre-order information. To start you off we can reveal that So has been completely re-mastered.

In other Gabriel news, the singer’s back catalog has been given a complete remaster and reissue in Italy in conjunction with the magazine TV Sorrisi e Canzoni and the newspaper Corriere della Sera.
