Peter Hook will perform a one-off show in Macclesfield, UK featuring all 48 Joy Division songs.
Hook is planning the show titled ‘So This Is Permancence’ to mark the 35th anniversary of the death of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis.
Only 470 tickets will be available for the one-time event at Christ Church in Macclesfield on May 18. Curtis died on May 18, 1980 and was cremated at Macclesfield Crematorium.
Joy Division recorded two albums ‘Unknown Pleasure’ (1979) and ‘Closer’ (1980). The compilations ‘Still’ and ‘Substance’ were released after Curtis died.
After the death of Curtis, Joy Division continued with a name change to New Order. Hook left New Order in 2007.
Peter Hook will perform ‘So This Is Permancence’ with The Light, the band he recently toured Australia with.
Tickets for So This Is Permancence’ are on sale tomorrow March 25 for £35.
