Bluesfest boss Peter Noble has finally cross Neil Young off his bucket list for Bluesfest. Neil Young + Promise of the Real will headline Bluesfest 2017.
“Bluesfest is proud to announce our headliner for 2017,” Peter Noble said in a statement. “Neil Young + his incredible new band Promise of the Real, are coming to Bluesfest to perform their full 3 hour set on Friday, April 14 on our Crossroads stage. Neil’s recent sets have included such classics as ‘Heart of Gold’, ‘Out on the Weekend’, ‘Harvest Moon’, ‘Powderfinger’, ‘Cowgirl in the Sand’, ‘Everybody Knows This is Nowhere’, ‘Cortez the Killer’ and ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ – WOW. I can’t wait!”
Promise of the Real features Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah. Promise of the Real backed Neil on his recent studio album ‘The Monsanto Years’ and the live album ‘Earth’.
Neil Young + Promise of the Real will perform a 3 hour set at Bluesfest. As an example of what to expect this was what a show looked like earlier this week in Boise, Idaho.
