Pharrell Williams and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer will work on the 2012 Academy Awards.
Deadline New York reports that the Grammy-winning producer and the Oscar-winning composer are to supervise the music for next year’s Oscars.
Pharrell has won three Grammys, had his songs in countless films, and was the man behind the Despicable Me soundtrack.
Zimmer is also a multiple Grammy winning who won his sole Oscar for The Lion King and scored Gladiator, the Pirates Of The Caribbean films, Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and Inception.
It’s the first time either of them have been musical supervisors for the ceremony.
The 84th Academy Awards will take place on February 26 and will be hosted by Billy Crystal (his ninth time at the podium).
