AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has released his first solo song ‘Repo Man’.
The first song ‘Repo Man’ came the day after the surprise announcement of Phil’s solo album ‘Head Job’. AC/DC fans will be pleased to know as far as the sound goes, the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. On ‘Repo Man’ Rudd has delivered a song that would easily fit on an AC/DC album or in their setlist.
‘Head Job’ was produced by Rudd and features Allan Badger and Geoffrey Martin, a couple of musicians Rudd met in his hometown of Tauranga, New Zealand. ‘Head Job’ was mainly recorded in Rudd’s studio in Tauranga, not far from his restaurant Phil’s Place.
Known song-titles for the album include ‘Bad Move’, ‘Crazy’, ’40 Days and 40 Nights’ as well as the title track and the ‘Repo Man’ single.
‘Head Job’ the album will be released on August 29.
