Phil Rudd To Finally Give America A Head Job

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on August 17, 2016

in New Music,News

It’s been quite a couple of years for former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd.

Rudd had two stints in AC/DC, from 1975 to 1983 and 1994 to 2015 and has played on all but three of their studio albums. In 2014, he decided to branch out with his first solo album, Head Job, which saw release in Australia and New Zealand.

Then the world crashed down. In November 2014, Rudd was arrested and charged with attempting to procure a murder, threatening to kill and possession of a methamphetamine and marijuana. Required to stay in the country and, eventually, sentenced to home confinement, Rudd was pushed out of AC/DC because he couldn’t tour with the band and his solo album was put on hold in the rest of the world.

On September 30, Rudd’s Head Job will finally receive a release in the rest of the world with a renewed Rudd ready to take on the world. Phil said of his current situation that his “hell raising days are over… I see a psychiatrist once a week and I’m closer than ever to my children. I still have all my flash cars but now I want to grow chillies”.

At this point, Head Job is only listed as an MP3 release in the U.S. although CDs will be out in the U.K. and Europe.

The track list for Head Job:
Head Job
Sun Goes Down
Lonely Child
Lost in America
Crazy
Bad Move
No Right
The Other Side
Forty Days
Repo Man
When I Get My Hands on You
