Pink Floyd’s 1968 classic ‘A Saucerful of Secrets’ will be re-released on vinyl for Record Store Day 2019.
‘A Saucerful of Secrets’ was the last album Pink Floyd album Syd Barrett appeared on and only for one track. David Gilmour was recruited during the sessions and replaced Barrett, forming the iconic line-up of Gilmour, Waters, Mason and Wright.
Artwork for the album was by Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson. Thorgerson became the Floyd album cover designer for everything after that. He also designed most of 10CC’s covers, AC/DC’s ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ Paul McCartney’s ‘Tug of War’, and Australia’s Powderfinger’s ‘Golden Rule’. He died in 2013.
