Pink will treat fans to an acoustic set this month to raise funds for cancer research.

The singer is working with Providence Saint John’s Health Center and John Wayne Cancer Institute on an initiative called The Power of Pink. And she’ll be performing at the House of Blues in Los Angeles October 23.

‘The Power of Pink fundraiser was created to recognize and celebrate the strength of women who battle and beat breast cancer daily,’ reads an online statement from event organizers.

General admission tickets start at $500, with packages costing as much as $15,000 for ten VIP seats.

Demand is high, with VIP packages already having sold out by press time.

Net proceeds from The Power of Pink event will benefit the Cancer Prevention Program at the Margie Petersen Breast Center at Providence Saint John’s Health Center, ‘where dedicated specialists offer a compassionate and comprehensive approach to breast care,’ according to a spokesperson.

Pink’s new album, You+Me, is meanwhile scheduled for release mid-October.

She’ll be performing some of her new tracks at the benefit, according to E! News.

The singer is passionate about reaching fans with cancer and doing what she can to touch their lives.

Last year she spoke about an emotional moment she shared while on the Australian leg of her The Truth About Love Tour.

‘The coolest thing happened the other night,’ she told Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O last August.

‘.I read about this kid, Calvin, who had just beaten cancer, had Down syndrome, who was there; my album had got him through his treatment. And his mom wrote this letter to me and I read it, so at the beginning of So What I know that I’m going straight out to the back.

‘I flew out [on a trapeze] and said, ‘I’m coming for you Calvin!’ And I just happened to stop right over the wheelchair section and the mom just started sobbing. I started crying, he was excited; it will go down in history as one of the most amazing moments in my life.’
