Pitbull and Ke$ha will no longer tour Australia with lack of interest appearing to be the contributing factor to the cancellation.
Promoter Paul Dainty has no given a reason for the cancellation although Pitbull said the decision was made by the promoter, not him or his management. “Regrettably the Promoter is cancelling the Australian Tour, refunds will be available at point of purchase. We hope to return to Australia in the not too distant future,” he said in a statement.
The statement from Dainty reads:
“Dainty Group regret to advise the cancellation of the 2013 Pitbull and Ke$ha Australia tour. Both artists hope to return to Australia in the not too distant future”.
Patrons who purchased tickets via credit card will be automatically refunded and do not need to take any action. Patrons who purchased tickets with cash or eftpos will need to post their tickets back to Ticketek for a full cheque refund.
Pitbull feat. Ke$ha released their new song ‘Timber’ this week.
