Nona Hendryx is taking pledges for her first solo tour since the 2008 Labelle reunion in support of her new album ‘Mutatus Mutandis’ and you can be part of the business model with a pledge.

For a $10 pledge you will receive a download of the ‘Mutatus Mutandis’ album. For $12 you get a CD, $25 gets you a t-shirt or USB album and for $30 Nona will get you a handwritten lyric sheet.

Nona’s project is being powered at pledgemusic.com.

Monies raised from the pledges will contribute to touring costs and also help the Little Black Pearl School in Chicago for kids aged 12 to 17.

Larger pledges have some really nice pay-offs. $250 gets VIP tickets to a show, $500 gets you into a rehearsal and $5000 gets you an Executive Producer credit on Nona’s next album.

“This is my first tour solo since Labelle’s Reunion Tour 2008 so I would love for you to help me make it just as successful,” Nona said in a statement. “There’s no time like the present, and the time is right NOW! Let’s Funk Up the Road! Things have changed and so have I! I remember thinking recently, “for this record and tour, I’ll do things a new way…from the way I did in the past, depending on Papa & Mama Record label/Money Bags.” Luckily things are falling into place, including meeting my new friends at PledgeMusic to help make this happen and to be able to bring you onboard for the whole experience!”

Nona Hendryx was one-third of Labelle with Patti Labelle and Sarah Dash. Labelle’s biggest hit was the R&B classic ‘Lady Marmalade’. In 2008, Labelle recorded the ‘Back To Now’ album, their first album in 32 years.
