Holy Holy is a new signing to the Wonderlick Recording Company, the home of Boy & Bear and The paper Kites.
Holy Holy is Timothy Carroll from Brisbane and Oscar Dawson from Melbourne. They met as volunteer teachers in Southeast Asia. They reconnected in Europe when Carroll relocated to Stockholm and Dawson to Berlin. The origins of Holy Holy began in Stockholm. “At that stage we weren’t even really sure what the project was going to be,” Carroll admits. “We were just feeling our way through it.”
Dawson was formerly of Melbourne band Dukes of Windsor who achieved Top 10 status on the ARIA chart of 2007 with the single ‘The Others’.
These days Dawson is back living in Melbourne. Carroll is based in Tasmania.
The ‘Holy Holy’ debut ‘When The Storms Would Come’ is due July 17.
