Prince has suddenly released a brand new song titled ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ through independent Kolbalt Label Services.
The song became available worldwide today (September 4, 2013). The artwork features comedian Dave Chapelle.
‘Breakfast Can Wait’ is the first taste of Prince’s new all-female rock band 3RDEYEGIRL featuring 3RDEYEGIRL (featuring guitarist Donna Grantis, bassist Ida Nielsen and drummer Hannah Ford). Prince debuted the group during West Coast US shows earlier this year and more recently has been showing off his girl-group through-out Europe.
3RDEYEGIRL have also been in Prince’s Minneapolis studio working on his next album ‘Plectrum Electrum’.
In between 3RDEYEGIRL activity, Prince has also been doing the occasional show with New Power Generation. Prince and New Power Generation recently concluded a week-long residency at the City Winery in New York City.
