Prince’s Big Listening Party Fades Fast

Prince’s big online party ran out of entertainment quick smart.

Prince, Yahoo Live and Live Nation set the music world ablaze on Monday with the announcement of the PLECTRUMELECTRUMARTOFFICIALAGE release party from the singer’s Paisley Park Studio.

Fans expected a set of music from the singer and his new group but what they received was over an hour of promotional material and awkward interviews followed by a short, three song, set.

When the live stream abruptly ended after the third tune, the internet once again lit up, but in a different way, with people questioning why they tuned in for an extended commercial.

The three songs that were streamed:
Pretzelbodylogic (from PlectrumElectrum, 2014)
What’s My Name (from Crystal Ball, 1998)
Time (from Art Official Age, 2014)
