Pseudo Echo will mark their 30th anniversary tonight with a one-off show in Melbourne.
Brian Canham formed the band in 1982 and generated their first hit with their first single ‘Listening’ in 1984. That started a string of hits including ‘Don’t Go’, ‘Love An Adventure’, ‘Living On A Dream’ and then the cover of ‘Funky Town’.
‘Funky Town’ took Pseudo Echo to international success, reaching no. 6 in the USA and no. 8 in the UK and topping the Billboard Dance Chart.
Tonight’s line-up features 80s members Bian Canham (guitar, vocals), Pierre Pierre (bass, synth, vocals), James Leight (keyboards) and Vince Leigh (drums).
Special guests are Wa Wa Nee.
Pseudo Echo play their 30th anniversary show tonight at The Palms at Crown Casino.
Doors open at 7:45pm, Wa Wa Nee on stage at 8:30pm and Pseudo Echo perform at 9:30pm.
