Queen + Adam Lambert have pretty much set their schedule for the rest of 2017.
The band have already announced a nearly two-month tour of North America that runs from June 23 to August 5 and, on Tuesday, added a 1-1/2 journey around Europe and the U.K.
The newly announced leg starts on November 1 in Prague, Czech Republic and ends on December 12 and 15 with two London shows at two different venues.
Since the death of Freddy Mercury, Queen has worked with a few different singers, most notably Paul Rodgers who was with them from 2004 to 2009. While there were no plans for live performances in the immediate future, fate stepped in when Brian May appeared on May 20, 2009 season finale of American Idol in the U.S. where he performed We Are the Champions with finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.
Very impressed with Lambert’s voice, the band sat back while Adam recorded and promoted his debut album. On November 6, 2011, Lambert and Queen performed together once again, closing the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The next year, Lambert and Queen performed select dates around Europe and, on September 20, 2013, performed at the iHeart Music Festival.
2014 brought the first full tour of Queen + Adam Lambert in North America followed by Australia and New Zealand, and in 2016 they toured Europe and Asia, which brings us to the new tour.
