Queen have launched their own brand of vodka celebrating their late lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Killer Queen vodka was developed by Queen with Bravado and the ‘Original’ Stoli spirits producer SPI / Latvijas Balzams in the EU.

“Freddie loved vodka and used to carry a dry ice cooler full of vodka with him on tour,” guitarist Dr Brian May said in a statement. “Killer Queen Vodka is the perfect tribute to Freddie and using Killer Queen as the brand name was the perfect choice for us, and we know Freddie would have approved.”

Killer Queen vodka is 40% ABV (80 proof) and available in measurements of 700ml and 750ml. It will launch in UK on September 17th and will retail at approx. £25 (incl. VAT), with International markets following later in 2014.
