Queen Plan One More Tour

Queen are planning a world tour.

Guitarist Brian May wrote a letter to Queen fans back on January 15 that was just made public on May’s site, saying that he and Roger Taylor (“and who knows who else!!”) are in talks to return to the road. “I saw an amazing working list of dates, and … well, I think we’re up for one more swing out there. In fact, in our Queen meeting today, we drank on it !”

This is also great news for May fans after Brian had a rough holiday period with a bad back and a possible diagnosis of cancer. He has been given the all clear on the latter and, it appears, the back has also been fixed.

May also said that the Freddie Mercury bio film is slowly moving forward and acknowledged the work being done by the casts of We Will Rock You both on London’s West End and touring the U.S. and the tribute band that he and Taylor assembled, The Queen Experience.

New releases coming for the year include a live DVD by May and singer Kerry Ellis from the Montreux Jazz Festival that will be out in March along with, possibly, the Queen album that he says will have three tracks with Freddie Mercury on vocal.

Quite the amazing year coming up for May. To see the full letter, go to Brian May’s site.
