We Will Rock You, the musical based on the songs of Queen, has been playing at London’s Dominion Theatre for over eleven years and has spawned a number of touring companies around the world, but only Las Vegas has played a version of the show in the U.S.
The official North American Touring Company will begin a year-long tour beginning October 15 in Baltimore, MD and running through August of 2014. Written by Ben Elton, the show tells the story of a group of Bohemians in a world where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same and all musical instruments and composing music are forbidden.
Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor have been actively involved in every production of the show around the world, including acting as music supervisors who select the casts and the bands for each production.
Songs in the show include Radio Ga-Ga, I Want to Break Free, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Under Pressure, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Seven Seas of Rhye, Don’t Stop Me Now, Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody and many more.
