R.E.M. Contribute ‘World Leader Pretend’ To Anti-Trump Site 30Days30Songs.com

R.E.M. have donated their 1988 ‘Green’ album track ‘World Leader Pretend’ to the anti-Donald Trump site 30days30songs.com.

At 30days30songs.com R.E.M. has posted the message “A perfect song for these strange times”.

The lyrics contain the line “This is my mistake, let me make it good”.

30days30songs.com is the work of Death Cab For Cutie manager Jordan Kurland and author Dave Egger.

The site kicked off last week with Death Cab For Cutie’s ‘Million Dollar Loan’.

There are now 10 songs on the site including tracks by Franz Ferdinand, Aimee Mann, Josh Ritter and Jim James.
