Chester Bennington, lead singer for Linkin Park, has been found dead in his Los Angeles home at age 41. The death is being investigated as suicide.
Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda says he was shocked by the news. “Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one,” he tweeted.

Bennington was found dead at his home at Palos Verdes Estates on the coast of California.
Chester was also the lead singer of his side-project Dead By Sunrise and for three years fronted Stone Temple Pilots.
Linkin Park rose to fame in 2000 with the ‘Hybrid Theory album. The album sold over 10 million copies and was certified as the best-selling album of the decade in the USA.
Linkin Park’s second album ‘Meteora’ sold over 6 million in the USA. The third ‘Minutes to Midnight’ did over 3 million. Linkin Park’s most recent album ‘One More Might’, released in May was also a number one album in the USA.
