Jerome Teasley, a drummer who was a member of Jr. Walker & the All Stars and worked extensively in the studio, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ after battling stage four cancer in his lungs and liver. He was 67.
Teasley joined Jr. Walker’s band in the late 60’s, starting with the Home Cookin’ album which contained probably his best known song, What Does It Take (To Win Your Love). In the 80’s, Teasley settled in Phoenix where he was a regular a number of nightspots.
