Koko, the Red Cloud Kelpie who starred in the hit Australian movie ‘Red Dog’, has died in Perth at the age of seven.
Koko was diagnosed with a congestive heart disease at the start of the year.
Nelson Woss, the producer of the Red Dog movie, was also Koko’s owner.
The movie was the most successful Australian film of 2011. It was nominated for nine Inside Film Awards and won seven.
The movie, based on a true story, told the tale of the dog who travelled across Australia looking for his master.
Noah Taylor and, John Batchelor, Josh Lucas and Rachael Taylor starred in the movie with Koko as Red Dog.
