Former Marilyn Manson lead guitarist Scott Putesky aka Daisy Berkowitz has died at age 49.

Berkowitz was a founding member of Manson’s original band but left halfway through the recording of the breakthrough album ‘Antichrist Superstar’. Twiggy Ramirez was brought in to replace him. Berkowitz was credited on six songs on the album.

After Marilyn Manson Putesky reverted to his original name and recorded under his initials SMP. In 2013 he was diagnosed with colon cancer.

Scott’s Manson credits include ‘Portrait of an American Family’ (1994), ‘Smells Like Children’ (1995) and ‘Antichrist Superstar’ (1996).

His last album was ‘Mr Conrad Samsung’ by The Daisy Kids in 2015.
