Country star Randy Travis has been arrested in Texas after crashing his car while drunk and unclothed.
AP reports that the country legend was charged with DUI and threatening law officers following a car crash.
Spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, Tom Vinger, said that a car registered to Travis struck barricades in a construction zone and crashed on Tuesday night.
When Texas Highway Patrol trooped attended the scene, Vinger said Travis was found not wearing any clothes and threatened the lawmen.
A statement from Grayson County Sheriff’s office read “Travis had a strong odour of alcoholic beverage on his breath and several signs of intoxication.”
It continued, “While Travis was being transported, Travis made threats to shoot and kill the troopers working the case.”
This is the second time Travis has been charged for intoxication this year, following an incident in February where he was found in his car parked outside a church near his hometown.
